FERTILIZING An application of fertilizer can vastly improve your pasture. It can be used to balance out mineral and trace element deficiencies, particularly if combined with calcified seaweed which is now unfortunately in very short supply. It is very important that the right type of fertilizer be used since too much or too rich can ruin a pasture. The spreading of composted manure is also highly recommended since it is a vital (and free) source of nutrient and organic matter to improve soil condition.
