MOLE DRAINING
The mole plough is designed to cut a vertical slit in the soil about 9 inches deep. At the bottom of this slot a bullet shaped “mole” is pulled through the soil and a small roller then follows to push down any ground disturbance.
Unlike agricultural sub-soiling, the mole plough leaves virtually no trace. The underground channels formed can be used to divert water away or to retain water on sloping ground. There is also a beneficial aerating effect to this operation.
